I have said it before and I will say it again and again, and again. Younique is so much more than mascara. Tonight I got to spend a relaxing night for dinner. It was so much fun just to relax and enjoy adult conversation and be with the best group of ladies on the planet. I always look forward to my time with my Younique YaYa's! We truly are a sisterhood!

Proud American

Wow what a day to feel proud to be an American. I am happy to live in a country where I can teach my children the peaceful transfer of power. It doesn't matter if you like the newly elected president or not it is time to get behind him and support our country. I try not to get to political on my blog or other social media, but today that I can say I am so proud to be an American!

stop playing the comparison game

Comparison has always been an issue in life and we all need to stop playing the comparison game. I think comparing ourselves to others is just human instinct, however being surrounded by women most of the time I feel as if this issue thrives among women in society as a whole. It also starts at an early age. I have heard my daughter as young as 4 compare herself to other little girls. This starts early and something that even I find myself doing at almost ...ummm 42 years old.

Think about it, my daughter being five years old compares her hair to other girls all the time. This obviously is something she has become self contious of due to most of her friends having long flowing locks. She was slow growing hair and it is thin and not as long as most of her friends (sadly she gets this trait from her mother).    She always says, "so and so has such pretty long hair like Rapunzel, I want hair like her" no matter how often I tell her that her hair is beautiful she still compares her hair to other girls.

As girls grow they are always comparing themselves from academics to extra curricular activities comparing others being better gymnast, dancers, cheerleaders, etc.  I am all about some healthy competition, I feel it is a good thing however have we as a society become so competitive that we have taught our girls that even if they are not ranked the best the aren't the best.   If we are teaching our girls to be the best THEY can be then they ARE THE BEST.

Back to life... back to reality....

Good Tuesday Morning! This is my family's start to the brand new year. We love taking advantage of the downtime and enjoying all that the holidays have to offer but now is the time to buckle down and push through to our favorite time of year,...summer.

So what does the New Year mean to us? It means doing whatever we set our minds to. Our family is all about goals and making new ones and crushing them. We have an action packed year ahead with tons of excitment!

One of the main things I personally am working on is becoming more organized. Orginization used to be one of my strong points but after having my last kiddo. It totally went to pot. LOL!  That little bundle of joy rocked our world in so many ways and is such a blessing but she is 5 now and I have no more excuses. LOL!

The one thing I am most excited about this years is the oppotunities that are popping up from my amazing little makeup business. This business has totally rocked my world and presented me with so many amazing opportunities. I am forever grateful the ways it has touched my life. I have made lifelong frienships as a results of becoming apart of this amazing little company. Little did I know that a little $99 investment would introduce me to so many amazing people and places.

So that is what is up for us in the next year. You will have to stay tuned to my blog for more exciting news and blogs. I promise not to bore. I will be blogging about our every day adventures, lots of makeup talk, self help and more!

Well it snowed..... hahaha!

Well living here in good old South Carolina can be very funny when it comes to winter weather! We literally sell out of every loaf of bread, gallon of milk, and jar of peanut butter within a 100 mile radius of our house. LOL! You can just say "snow" and life stops here. Even though it seems silly it's simply because we don't always have the means to handle even a dusting on the ground. hahaha!

The one great thing about snow in the south is it makes for great family time and lots of yummy homemade foods. This year my boys could careless about the snow. Eli wasn't feel well today and Bleeze doesn't like the cold so we had some snow fun with Suri.

I'm Back.....

Guess What? I am back. I have been thinking about starting my blog back up for some time now and I decided why not do it for 2017.   My goal  (not calling it a resolution is to be more organized and stick to our schedule. For me life just runs more smoothly that way and my children adapt well to running on a schedule.  So here's to more blogging and sharing our crazy life with each of you. I promise for more interesting thoughts tomorrow. Happy New Year everyone.
